Who is responsible
Quivapickleparad Venue Research Ltd is responsible for the personal information it handles for this publication and its correspondence. Our registered office is 35 Bridge Street, Birmingham B1 2JB, United Kingdom; company number 15420867. For privacy questions, write to [email protected].
Browsing the publication
Delivering a web page requires the hosting infrastructure to process request information, such as your IP address, requested resource, request time and browser-supplied headers. Operational or security logs may contain this information. It is used to deliver the site, diagnose faults and protect the service, not to create advertising profiles.
The publication’s own code does not include analytics, advertising trackers, third-party embeds or remote image requests. Images and other page resources are served from this site. Your browser may cache them as part of ordinary browsing.
The local operator-note tool
The contact tool constructs plain text in browser memory. Its script does not transmit your entries, store them in localStorage or send a form submission to a server. Editing a note does not contact us. Browser features, extensions or device settings may independently preserve form entries or session state.
Choosing “Copy note” asks the Clipboard API to place the prepared text on your device clipboard. Choosing “Download .txt” creates a text file using a temporary local Blob URL. The file remains wherever your browser saves it until you remove it. Treat copied and downloaded text according to the sensitivity of its contents.
If you choose to email us
Your email provider and ours process the message through their respective services. We receive the sender address, message contents, attachments you choose to include and ordinary email metadata. We use these to read, respond to and manage your enquiry or correction request. Please do not send crowd footage, ticket information, special-category personal data or confidential operational details.
Purposes and legal bases
Where the UK GDPR applies, we rely on legitimate interests in operating and securing an educational publication and handling relevant correspondence, balanced against your rights. Where processing is necessary to comply with a legal obligation, that obligation is the applicable basis. We do not use your enquiry to enrol you in marketing communications.
Recipients and international processing
Hosting and email providers may process information as needed to supply and secure their services. Professional advisers or authorities may receive information where necessary for a legal obligation or the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims. We do not sell personal information.
If a provider processes personal information outside the United Kingdom, applicable transfer requirements must be addressed, for example through an adequacy arrangement or appropriate contractual safeguards. You may contact us for information relevant to the processing of your correspondence.
Retention and security
Correspondence is retained only for as long as reasonably needed to handle the enquiry, maintain a necessary record of a correction or meet applicable legal requirements. Operational records should be limited to their delivery, diagnostic and security purposes. Retention depends on the record and the reason for keeping it; it is not indefinite by default.
No website or email channel can guarantee complete security. Avoid sending information that is unnecessary for an editorial enquiry. We do not require identity documents to discuss an article.
Your rights
Depending on the applicable law and circumstances, you may request access, correction, erasure, restriction or portability, and may object to processing based on legitimate interests. These rights have legal limits. Contact us with enough detail to identify the relevant correspondence; we may need proportionate information to verify a request.
You may complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office in the United Kingdom. Contacting us first is not a condition of that right.
Links and notice changes
Following an external source link takes you to a service with its own privacy practices. We do not control those services. This notice may be updated when the site’s processing changes. Read the separate browser-storage information for the publication’s use of cookies and local storage.
